I'm Ryan, an independent software developer and IT professional located in the USA.
I created echolingo in response to an issue I encountered while working in offshore manufacturing: sometimes my translated messages were misunderstood, and sometimes the messages sent to me were confusing. It was obvious that the intended meaning was being lost in translation. To help prevent this, I created echolingo to easily translate my words to another language, then echo back the translation of those words in my native language, allowing me to verify that the translation expresses what I actually meant to say.
echolingo is easy to use: just type or paste your original text, select the desired language and click "Echo My Lingo!". Your words will be translated to the destination language, then echoed back to you in your own language so that you can verify what was actually said. It's easy to repeat the process until the echo says what you want it to say, then just copy and paste the translated text.
echolingo is a free-to-use app, supported by users like you. To perform the translations, we use Amazon Translate, which bills us for usage at these rates.
